Chef.me application can not only guide you with creating amazing home cooked recipes but also help you purchase all the necessary ingredients in the specified amount right in that very application.

Thus the extended process of hunting for the ingredients in different stores is eliminated making the user's journey simpler than ever.

Say Goodbye to boring ingredient hunt and welcome seamless purchase!

The project below showcases a brief explanation of the UX phase- Person creation, competitive analysis, card sorting, task flow, information architecture, low/high fidelity wireframes, mood board and User Interface design.

User Personas

The recipe application targeted users between the ages of 25 to 35 ( working professionals) to ease out their everyday cooking rituals.

The recipe application also targets users between the ages of 36 to 45 (working professionals and housewives) to ease out their cooking rituals amidst their busy family and professional lives

In order to understand what functions could help my application grow, I studied 3 top recipe applications in the Indian App store and studied them based on:

  • User Flows

  • Task Flows

  • Error Preventions

  • Signage

  • Ease of information

  • Global search

After a thorough competitive analysis, I proceeded to list down all the necessary functions that the recipe app would comprise app. I followed a 'closed card sorting' based on what I studied in the competitive analysis.

Following are a few examples of wireframes that I worked on prior to the UI Design.

Post card sorting, I created an IA to break down all the functions of the recipe application.

To get a clear idea of what the visuals would look like, I started designing low and high-fidelity wireframes.
